Investment Options

Choose the path that suits you best.

Growth Category

Invest at least NZD$5 million in direct investments or managed funds. Retain investment for 3 years. Spend at least 21 days in New Zealand during investment period.

Balanced Category

Invest at least NZD$10 million in government/corporate bonds, listed equities, philanthropy, property development, direct investments, or managed funds. Retain for 5 years. Spend at least 105 days in NZ (reduced by 14 days per additional NZD$1 million, max 42 days reduction).

Police Certificate

Anyone aged 17+ must provide police certificate from all countries of citizenship and any country stayed 12+ months in past 10 years.

Citizenship Requirements

Minimum 240 days in any 12-month period, totaling 1,350 days over past 5 years. Good character. Basic English conversation ability.
